There are several good hotels in Paphos and a few very good ones, Asimina Suites Hotel is exceptional for both service, food and the rooms are extremely well appointed. You get a feeling of warmth and welcome the moment you walk through the front doors, the place is clean and there are staff everywhere you look, all waiting to attend to your every wish, hope and or desire. The hotel isn’t large, unlike its sister hotel the Athena Beach Hotel, but is big enough to lose yourself and get away from others if you choose to. 

Check in is fast, efficient and welcoming and from that moment you are aware that nothing is too much to ask for so that you enjoy your stay. I highly recommend the all-inclusive package as it cover everything and more. 

The rooms are spacious, clean and modern and the “under the bed” test passed with flying colours (check under the bed to see if it’s been cleaned and if it has then the whole room is cleaned). I was greeted with a bottle of red wine, a selection of fruit and a guest book with all the local information needed to enjoy the hotel. The lounge area has a TV, work desk and sofa and gives you that “at home” feel in case you need to catch up on emails etc. The bedroom is also spacious with a TV and several areas for storage as well as a wardrobe. The bathroom is huge, and the showers are great, the bath is a good size and the towels fresh and very clean.

The WIFI is good and seems to cover the whole hotel and the download speeds we enough for me to stream a TV program (using a VPN). There are several English speaking channels but the choice is limited overall, but when you’re in this hotel watching TV is one of the last things you want to do.

The view from my balcony was superb with the pool area beneath me, the reception area and balcony were in view and the sea could be seen between the trees. Watching the sunset was great sitting on the balcony watching the world go by and the sun falling below the horizon.

There have been few hotels that have given me the “WOW” factor and I can honestly say that the Asimina Suites Hotel gave me that feeling from the moment I checked in to the moment I sadly departed for home. I came to the hotel with the view that it wouldn’t compare to another local hotel down the road from it, one that has an outstanding reputation for service and hospitality. The Asimina Suites Hotel not only beat my expectations, but it trampled them like a herd of angry elephants. It is
