From the moment it was confirmed that Wales would be in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, we have been inundated with enquires about how to get there.
Tickets for the game must be purchased through the official portals but as for accommodation and flights, it’s been a free for all and we’ve heard stories of hotels increasing their prices to outrageous levels.
We highly recommend securing a flight with a recognised airline and booking it through Global Travel Worldwide. Sounds obvious but we have experienced and seen the pain on peoples faces when they thought they’d secured a good deal, had an issue and then been on hold with the airline for 3-4 hours at a time.
Also, at the moment flights directly into Qatar seem to be unavailable and it looks as though chartered flights have been arranged for games, so fans will be flown in before the game and out afterwards. This will mean that you’ll need a ticket to go to the games.
The same goes for hotels in Qatar, Dubai, or any Emirate. If you book online there’s no guarantee that the room will be there when you arrive, some hotels will double book rooms and so capacity will be at a premium. If you book through a travel agent, such as Global Travel Worldwide, we can ensure that the room you book is the room you’ll stay in for the duration of your stay.
Prices are increasing daily and we highly recommend that, if you plan to see the games, you book your flight and accommodation early and get a good deal.
Monday November 21st 2022 – Wales v USA
Friday November 25th 2022 – Wales v Iran
Tuesday November 29th 2022 – Wales v England
You could also use the trip as a short break and stay in Dubai or Ajman and get some rest between games. There are some great deals with hotels and you can lay next to the pool and watch the other games at the same time.
